Artist Talk: Friday, September 25th

Join us at the Toronto School of Art on September 25th from 6–8:30 PM (talk will begin at 6:30) for an artist talk with painter and sculptor Tom Campbell.
A longtime member of the TSA community, Campbell taught painting at the school from 1989 until his retirement from teaching in 2025 and continues to serve on TSA’s Board of Governors. He studied Painting and Sculpture at Camberwell School of Art in London, England, and has exhibited extensively throughout Canada, with work held in private and corporate collections across Canada, the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
For this talk, Campbell will reflect on a life dedicated to making art. Through paintings and sculptures from across his career, past and present, he will consider the questions that have shaped his practice: What is art to him? Why dedicate a life to making it? And what matters most in the process of creating?
The evening offers an opportunity to hear directly from Campbell about the experiences, ideas and values that have sustained his decades-long artistic practice.
This event is free to attend. As a non-profit organization, Toronto School of Art gratefully welcomes donations to support our programming and community.
