During this class we will explore stitching as a drawing technique by learning machine stitching, free motion embroidery, applique and hand embroidery to create a vocabulary of stitched marks. By combining stitch, ink and a variety of fabrics, we will create layered images and artworks.

  • A variety of yarns, small scraps of fabric, threads and embroidery floss
