This introductory course is designed for first-time users of Adobe Photoshop. Through project based, hands-on exercises, students will explore the tools and techniques used to draw, paint, and manipulate images. Collage effects using various tools and layers will teach students the principles of Photoshop and art-making on a computer. Projects will develop skills while inspiring students to create original digital artwork that encourages personal discovery and direction.

Notes: This course uses Adobe CS6 Master Collection. Students should have basic knowledge of Mac computers and Mac OS 10.x or experience with Microsoft Windows. Basic knowledge of Photoshop is also recommended but not necessary. No class held Monday, October 9, 2017 for Thanksgiving (Fall term). No class held Monday, February 19, 2018 for Family Day (Winter term).
