This introductory course teaches the basics of Adobe Photoshop. Through project-based, hands-on exercises, students will explore the tools and techniques used to draw, paint, and manipulate images. Collage effects using various tools and layers will teach students the principles of Photoshop and art-making on a computer. Projects will develop skills while inspiring students to create original digital artwork that encourages personal discovery and direction.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID 19, special policies and regulations will apply. Students must be in agreement with these health and safety regulations and TSA's policies in order to enrol. THIS COURSE WILL HAVE A MAXIMUM of 5 STUDENTS in the DIGITAL LAB to ensure physical distancing.

If in-person classes must be cancelled midway through the term, students will need to have their own license of Photoshop for this course. Please check out the adobe website.

Notes: This course uses Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Students should have basic knowledge of Mac computers and Mac OS 10.x or experience with Microsoft Windows. Basic knowledge of Photoshop is also recommended.
