• Introduction-Intermediate
  • Painting

In drawing and painting circles, Mylar has become an ever-popular support. Sometimes described as Polyester film, it is used by artists for its archival quality and impermeable surface. These two factors plus its durability make it an ideal support for painting. This course will introduce students to a spectrum of painting techniques using either acrylics or oil based paints. Students will be shown a range of application techniques via demos and samples of artists’ work. Upon completion, students will have an introductory knowledge of Mylar that will provide an additional option for creative and artistic practice.

Notes: It is recommended that students have taken an Introduction to Drawing or Painting course or have basic drawing skills.
