Notes: Instructor Anahita Akhavan is a Toronto-based artist and has been teaching at TSA since the Summer term of 2018. Previously, she taught Fundamentals of Painting and Drawing at the University of Saskatchewan. Akhavan’s practice ranges from figurative abstract painting to collage, drawing and photography. She draws her subject matter from fragments of the human condition: identity, social roles of "the self" in multi-layered constructed surreal spaces. She has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in both Iran and Canada. Please keep your receipts to all purchases incase you may need to return any materials.
