Learn the three basic handbuilding techniques (pinch, coil and slab) from the comfort of your own home.  Students must purchase and pick up the class kit (which includes clay and tools) before the first class and deliver finished pieces back to the school for firing at the end of the course. In over the 5 ONLINE classes, students will complete three projects and experiment with surface decoration.

Students finished work will be bisque and glaze fired at TSA. A choice of glazes will be offered. The instructor will apply the glaze at TSA.

5 Weeks: Tuition  $220 + Material Fee $45 = Total $265

Materials include: 10lbs of clay, bisque and glaze firing (glazing by instructor) and a basic ceramic tool kit.


TSA will deliver this course using ZOOM. Prior to the course session, you will receive an invitation for the session(s) via email. Notes: Natalie Waddell is a Toronto-based Ceramic Artist. A student of the Sheridan College Ceramic Craft and Design program (2003), she has continued her studies by attending workshops lead by local and international ceramic artists and educators. Natalie has continuously explored and developed new bodies of functional and sculptural work. She is an active member of the Akin Artist Collective, the Toronto Potters Association, the Potters Guild of Hamilton and Region, FUSION: Ontario Clay and Glass Association and NCECA - the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts and Craft Ontario.
