This course emphasizes basic drawing skills in gesture, contour, and tone. It is designed to teach students the skills necessary to render the figure in three dimensions, in both wet and dry media. Instruction in surface anatomy and proportion is included. Class sessions will provide students with personal attention and guidance. Media: Charcoal, conté, ink, newsprint.


Fall/Winter

12-weeks: Base Tuition: $475 + Model fee: $95 = TOTAL $570

Spring

10-weeks: Base Tuition: $405 + Model fee: $80 = TOTAL $485

Summer

8-weeks: Base Tuition: $335 + Model fee: $65 = TOTAL $400

Notes: It is recommended that students have taken an Introduction to Drawing course or equivalent. A nude model will be used in this course.

  • red or brown chalk drawing sticks - any brand will do.

  • 2 bulldog clips
  • newsprint - two 18 x 24" pads
  • kneadable eraser
