This class is designed for people who have had a little bit of experience with clay and want to develop their skills. Hand-building and throwing techniques will be covered, including demonstrations on how to make larger vessels, vases and plates. Students will learn how to make lidded forms, spouts and pouring vessels as well as fine-tuning their cups, mugs and bowls. Skills that will be acquired during the class will include: coil, slab building, wheel throwing larger vessels, how to make lidded forms and pouring vessels as well as finishing techniques, such as trimming, attaching, decoration and glazing.


Spring 2020:

10 Weeks: Base Tuition: $422 + Materials Fee: $45 = Total: $467

Notes: The $45 materials fee includes a bag of Cone 6 stonewear clay (20lbs), all firings, use of glazes and tools on site. Additional bags of clay are available for purchase at TSA (note: all clay used at TSA, must be purchased from TSA).
