This course is designed to suit the needs of Fine Art students who wish to create digital drawings and paintings using a computer. Photoshop and programs like Corel Painter have many unique digital brushes and textures that mirror the look and feel of their traditional counterparts. In-depth tutorials will inform each student as to how software can be used to achieve finished artworks ready for printing limited editions. Students will learn to work with drawing tablets, scanned images from their drawings, paintings and/or photos that will later be manipulated into finished digital pictures. Projects will focus on developing each student's own personal theme. Additional topics will cover colour, composition and design, importing pre-existing works and creating a unified series of works using this digital software.
Notes: This course uses Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Students should have basic knowledge of Mac computers and Mac OS 10.x or experience with Microsoft Windows. Basic knowledge of Photoshop is also recommended. Additional print fees apply
