Students will learn slab building, coil building and working with push and slump moulds and supports to create abstract sculpture, pots etc. We will look at how to attach parts, how to make hollow forms, and how to plan ahead when building pieces with multiple parts. We will also explore surface texture using interesting found objects. Conceptual content: We will discuss sculptural terms like abstract vs figurative, 3 dimensional vs 2 dimensional work, form, shape, volume, balance, symmetry and asymmetry, geometric and organic, etc.

Base Tuition: $350 + Materials Fee: $50 = Total: $400
