The defining characteristic of fluid painting techniques is to collaborate with gravity, directing the paint across the surface of the canvas or wood panel, orchestrating its tendency to pool, to drip and to spatter, inviting the painting to almost paint itself, and embracing the accidents and the surprises. Using a variety of Fluid Acrylic Mediums mixed with Fluid Acrylic Paint we will explore these watery realms initiated by such artists as Jackson Pollock, Helen Frankenthaler, Paul Jenkins and Morris Lewis.
