Andy Fabo is a Toronto artist, art critic, independent curator and art educator. Since his first solo show at A Space in Toronto in 1979, he has exhibited across Canada and internationally. In 2005 he was given a retrospective at the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art. He is the author of several essays and reviews in Canadian periodicals (C Magazine, Descant, Parachute, Fuse) as well as many exhibition catalogues. He has taught in many Canadian universities, including McMaster, York, Brock and U of T. His paintings and drawings are in museum collections across Canada and his videos (collaborations with Michael Balser), have screened globally and are in numerous North American and European collections.
