This course has been designed as an introduction to Abstraction.
The expressive nature of the brushstroke can convery thoughts and feelings.
To access this non representational experience we will use a process called Analog Painting. Starting with an emotional loaded words, i.e. JOY, we find a way to express that word through brush and paint. We will learn how to discern themes within this output, refine our first marks and finally, make it all 'pretty' in a finished work.
This course focuses on using Fluid Acrylic on paper to facilitate spontaneity.
Individual feedback from the instructor as well as focused group discussion will be an important part of this workshop.
