Glazed Over will familiarize the Beginner and Intermediate-level student with Basic Acrylic principles. Starting with simple black and white images we will explore how to blend and mix paint in order to create depth and dimension. Special emphasis will be placed on working with layers of rich transparent colour placed over the black & white images. We will also learn the importance of mixing paint with acrylic mediums instead of just water, to create surfaces reminiscent of varnished oils. Glazed Over will also provide an introduction to Golden Paint New Line called “OPEN ACRYLICS,” a slow-drying product that allows traditional blending techniques once only possible with oils.
